I’m the author of Swing at your own risk (Kelsey St. Press). I’ve published several chapbooks, including the year we turned dragon (Portable Press at Yo-Yo Labs) and le animal & other creatures (Miel). My first full-length collection of poetry, South of Here, was published by New Issues Press under my legal name.

Currently I parent a toddler, a wondrous little Lion, and I teach creative writing, direct a creative writing program and direct a literary arts organization in Winston Salem, NC. I’m rarely writing these days, but you can find samples from Swing over at Los Angeles Review, poets.org, Lit Hub, & Puerto del Sol: Black Voices Series.
